Common failures of Rodless Cylinder:

1. Rodless cylinders are cast. After leaving the factory, they must undergo aging treatment to completely eliminate the internal stress generated during the casting process. If the aging time is short, the processed rodless cylinder will still deform during subsequent operation.

2. The force situation of rodless cylinders during operation is very complicated. In addition to the static loads such as the pressure difference of the gas inside and outside the rodless cylinder and the weight of the various components installed in it, it must also withstand the reaction force of the stationary part when steam flows out of the stationary blades, as well as the forces of various connecting pipes on the rodless cylinder under hot and cold conditions. Under the interaction of these forces, the rodless cylinder is prone to plastic deformation and leakage.

3. The load of the rodless cylinder increases and decreases too quickly, especially when the temperature changes greatly during rapid startup, shutdown and working condition changes, the cylinder warming method is incorrect, and the insulation layer is opened too early during shutdown and maintenance, etc., which will cause great thermal stress and thermal deformation in the rodless cylinder and on the flange.

4. The rodless cylinder generates stress during machining or after repair welding, but the rodless cylinder is not tempered to eliminate it, resulting in large residual stress in the rodless cylinder, causing deformation during operation.

5. During installation or maintenance, due to maintenance process and maintenance technology, the expansion gap of the inner cylinder, rodless cylinder partition, partition sleeve and gas seal sleeve is not appropriate, or the expansion gap of the ear pressure plate is not appropriate, resulting in huge expansion force after operation, causing the rodless cylinder to deform.

6. The rodless cylinder sealant used is of poor quality, has too many impurities or is of the wrong model; if there are hard impurity particles in the rodless cylinder sealant, it will make it difficult for the sealing surface to be tightly combined.
