The lateral supports are shipped in sets (one for each side).
Use of lateral supports
When using a long stroke, the cylinder barrel will bend downward due to the weight of the cylinder and the load. In this case, a lateral support should be added in the middle of the cylinder to provide support. As shown in the figure on the right, the support spacing L should not be greater than the value in the chart.
Notice
① If the cylinder mounting surface is not accurate enough, the lateral support may be uneven when installed. Horizontal adjustment should be made during installation. In addition, if there is vibration, impact, etc. during the use of long-stroke cylinders, it is recommended to use lateral supports even within the allowable support spacing range in the figure. ②The support is not a fixed part and can only be used as a support.
