Use of lateral supports

When using a long stroke, the cylinder barrel will bend downward due to the cylinder's own weight and heavy load. In this case, a lateral support should be added in the middle of the cylinder to provide support. As shown in the figure on the right, the support spacing L should not be greater than the value in the chart.

Notice

① If the cylinder mounting surface is not accurate enough, the lateral support may be uneven when installed. Horizontal adjustment should be made during installation. In addition, if there is vibration, impact, etc. when using a long-stroke cylinder, it is recommended to use a lateral support even if it is within the support spacing range allowed in the figure.

② The support is not a fixed part and can only be used as a support.
